US Marshals Arrest Andrew and Tristan Tate in Miami on UK Charges

Andrew and Tristan Tate, prominent social media influencers, were arrested by US Marshals in Miami on Saturday, July 18, 2026. The arrest follows a sealed warrant related to new charges filed in the United Kingdom, including rape and sex trafficking, according to the Associated Press.
The Crown Prosecution Service, with support from Bedfordshire Police, has filed a total of 38 new charges against the Tate brothers. Andrew Tate faces 42 charges, including seven counts of rape, three counts of trafficking for sexual exploitation, three counts of assault, and 19 charges related to indecent images of children and extreme pornography. Tristan Tate is charged with two counts of rape, one count of sexual assault, and three counts of trafficking for sexual exploitation.
The charges stem from alleged incidents occurring between July 2010 and August 2017, involving four additional victims. This expands the investigation to include a total of seven alleged victims.
Assistant Chief Constable Karena Thomas of Bedfordshire Police highlighted the complexity of the investigation, which involves collaboration with national and international law enforcement agencies. She urged the public to avoid speculation as the legal process unfolds.
The Tate brothers, who hold dual U.S.–U.K. citizenship, previously lived in Romania, where they were arrested in 2022 on similar charges. However, that case was dropped due to procedural issues. They returned to the United States earlier this year.
Currently detained in federal custody in Miami, the Tates are expected to appear before a magistrate judge next week to begin extradition proceedings to the UK.
