Scimplify Secures $25M to Expand AI-Driven Specialty Materials
By Adrian Cole

Scimplify, a Bengaluru-based AI-powered specialty materials startup, has raised $25 million in an all-equity funding round led by Hitachi Ventures. The investment, which includes participation from Henkel, Teknor Apex, and existing investors, values the company at $250 million, up from $150 million after its Series B round in March 2025.
The company’s annualized revenue run rate has tripled to $200 million, with significant growth in its U.S. operations, which now account for nearly 30% of its business. Scimplify plans to use $7.5 million of the new funds to expand its manufacturing footprint into the U.S. and Japan, and $2 million to enhance its AI platform, Scinode.
Scimplify's Scinode platform accelerates chemical manufacturing processes, reducing development timelines from 12-18 months to as little as two months in some cases. The company's revenue composition has shifted, with energy, electronics, and defense sectors now contributing 45-50% of total revenue, compared to under 15% a year ago.
Founded in 2023, Scimplify employs over 340 people and operates research facilities in Bengaluru and Hyderabad. The company is targeting critical materials such as tungsten derivatives and rare earth elements, aiming to provide alternative sourcing options for industries heavily reliant on Chinese supply chains.
