Nancy Mace Endorses Ralph Norman Over Trump's Senate Pick

Rep. Nancy Mace (R-S.C.) has endorsed Rep. Ralph Norman (R-S.C.) to replace the late Sen. Lindsey Graham, diverging from President Donald Trump's endorsement of Graham's sister, Darline Graham. Mace announced her support for Norman on July 21, 2026, during a joint appearance in South Carolina, describing him as a steadfast conservative who remains unyielding in his principles.
The endorsement comes after the unexpected death of Sen. Lindsey Graham on July 11, 2026. Following his passing, South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster appointed Darline Graham as interim U.S. senator. She was sworn in on July 14, 2026, and has received Trump's full endorsement to run for a full six-year term.
The Republican primary for the Senate seat is scheduled for August 11, with candidates required to file by July 28. If no candidate secures a majority, a runoff will occur on August 25. Despite lacking Trump's endorsement, Norman is actively considering a Senate run.
