LeoLabs Secures $20.68M Contract with U.S. Space Force

LeoLabs has been awarded a $20.68 million Prototype Other Transaction Agreement (OTA) by the U.S. Space Force. Announced on August 26, 2026, the contract focuses on adapting LeoLabs' Scout radar system for defense testing and evaluation purposes.
The Scout system, known for its containerized and transportable 3D search radars, is designed for rapid deployment and scalable sensing. This capability is crucial for integrating with U.S. defense systems to maintain persistent custody and quality tracking of faster, more maneuverable space threats.
According to LeoLabs CEO Tony Frazier, the partnership with the Space Force demonstrates how commercial technology can accelerate the delivery of new capabilities for U.S. defense missions. The contract includes final hardware integration and environmental qualification testing for the modified Scout-S units, with initial site deliveries and operational calibration expected in early 2027.
