By Priya Anand

LEGO has announced the launch of its latest Icons set, a detailed replica of the Hubble Space Telescope, scheduled for release on August 1, 2026. The set, numbered 11382, comprises 1,252 pieces and is priced at $139.99, targeting builders aged 18 and up.

The assembled model stands approximately 12.5 inches tall with an open aperture door and occupies a 15 by 15-inch footprint. It features posable solar arrays and antennas, a functional aperture door, and removable panels that reveal an instrument bay with gyroscopes and mirrors. The set also includes a display stand with an informative plaque, featuring NASA and ESA logos, telescope dimensions, and servicing mission dates.

An astronaut minifigure in an extravehicular mobility unit suit is included, equipped with a 'pistol grip' tool used for servicing missions. This release marks LEGO's third Hubble-themed set, following smaller versions included in the 2003 LEGO Discovery Space Shuttle and the 2021 LEGO Icons NASA Space Shuttle Discovery sets.
