Julie Andrews Declines Role in 'Princess Diaries 3'

Julie Andrews has confirmed she will not return to her role as Queen Clarisse in the upcoming 'Princess Diaries 3,' despite efforts by Anne Hathaway to persuade her otherwise. Andrews, now 90, cited her age and current focus on writing and voice work as reasons for her decision.

Anne Hathaway, who will reprise her role as Mia Thermopolis, stated that she pushed hard for Andrews' return but respects her decision. The offer remains open should Andrews change her mind.

Production on 'Princess Diaries 3' is reportedly progressing, with filming planned in Europe. Director Adele Lim has promised fans a continuation that honors the franchise, although without Andrews' participation.
