Brookfield Asset Management Leverages AI and Nuclear Energy for Growth

By Adrian Cole

Brookfield Asset Management (NYSE: BAM) is strategically investing in artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure and nuclear energy, aiming to capitalize on emerging growth opportunities. The company has launched a $100 billion global AI infrastructure investment program, with $5 billion in initial equity commitments from partners including NVIDIA and the Kuwait Investment Authority.

In addition to its AI initiatives, Brookfield has partnered with Cameco and Westinghouse to construct at least $80 billion in new nuclear reactors in collaboration with the U.S. Government. This partnership seeks to revitalize the U.S. nuclear power industrial base.

Brookfield's recent fundraising efforts have been robust, with $7 billion raised in infrastructure funds, including $5 billion for its AI infrastructure fund. The company's financial metrics, such as a dividend yield of approximately 4.1% and a forward P/E ratio of 23–25×, suggest potential undervaluation, enhancing its appeal as a Growth at a Reasonable Price (GARP) investment.
